| Items that are in stock usually ship the same business day. Orders must be placed, payment verified, and security cleared by 3:00pm PST. Merchandise is shipped complete, properly packaged, and insured, via UPS. Occasionally an item is oversold. If this is the case, we will fill the orders on a first come, first serve basis. Items that are out of stock usually ship within 3 to 4 days. Payment will be secured and the item(s) will be ordered from the manufacturer. As soon as the merchandise becomes available, it will ship complete, properly packaged, and insured via UPS. We will notify you in the case of an unexpected backorder. If immediate availability is a concern, please call and we will stock-check the item at the manufacturer. No shipments will be made to a P.O. Box, and we are unable to ship to APO/FPO boxes.
We offer ground shipping on parts that are deliverable by ground service in the continental U.S. (excluding oversize parts and parts over the 150 lb. weight limit). Some applications for certain parts have oversize or special handling surcharges imposed by the carrier - ask your sales representative for details.
- DOMESTIC SHIPPING CHARGES: Shipping charges to the 48 contiguous states are equal to 5% of the total order before tax (if applicable).
- HAWAII & ALASKA SHIPPING CHARGES: All shipments to Hawaii and Alaska must ship via air and additional air charges will apply. You will be notified prior to final order processing of your total shipping charges. These will not be reflected in your shopping cart at checkout. - HANDLING CHARGES: Orders will have a non-refundable $7.95 handling charge per order to cover order processing and packaging. The charge is the same no matter how large your order, so buy all at once and save.
- OVERSEAS: Orders must be paid in advance and will have a non-refundable $24.95 handling charge. If several items are ordered and one is on backorder, the whole order will be placed on a "Full Order Hold" until the backordered item arrives. This saves on separate shipping charges. Ask your sales representative about shipping options.
- APO/FPO ADDRESSES: We regret we are UNABLE TO SHIP to APO/FPO addresses at this time. Please contact us to make alternate shipping arrangements if necessary.
- OVERSIZED: Parts too large or too heavy for regular ground service, are delivered by truck. Charges are based on actual shipping weight, not product weight. All truck-shipped orders must be paid in advance. Please call for a quote.
- EXPEDITED DELIVERY: Next-Day Air, 2nd-Day Air and Saturday delivery are all available at an additional cost - Please, ask your Modern Speed Machines sales representative about our shipping options.

Once an item is ready for shipment, normal Ground Service estimated regional delivery times for the United States are as follows:
- WESTERN - 1 to 2 business days*

Special Handling Items
Special Handling Items are large or bulky items that incur higher shipping costs than Non-Special Handling Items. Discounts or Promotions on freight charges do not apply to Special Handling Items. Next Day, 2 Day, and 3 Day shipping services are not available for Special Handling Items. Some large or heavy items may need to be shipped via truck freight. Please be aware of any special notes or lengthy availability times that may apply to these items. Charges are based on actual shipping weight, not product weight. Truck freight shipping charges must be paid in advance. Please call Modern Speed Machines for a quote.
Cancellations
All sales are considered final upon shipment either from our warehouse or from the manufacturer. To cancel an unshipped order, please call and speak directly to a Modern Speed Machines Customer Service representative. Some orders on specialty items are not cancelable under any circumstance.
Returns
All sales are considered final upon shipment. There are no returns on any electrical components, or any special order items including but not limited to, Programmers, Chips, Tuners, wiring harnesses, lights, superchargers, nitrous kits, wheels and tires. Should you have a problem with an order, please call us. We will correct the problem immediately. Do not return an item without contacting us for a Return Authorization (RA) number. All returns made must include a copy of the original receipt. All returns must be insured for the full value to protect you against shipment loss. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges. All parts must be returned in their original condition. Any part which in our professional opinion shows evidence of being used or installed contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions, and/or was handled improperly, including packaging or shipping by the customer, will not be eligible for exchange, refund or warranty consideration. All items returned will be inspected for damage, installation and use. Any parts that have been used in an abusive manner, for racing or competition etc., will not be covered under any warranty or return policy and will not be refunded. This includes breakage under any circumstances. These items will be shipped back to the customer at the customer’s expense. Any non-defective products returned for a refund will be assessed a 25% restocking fee. Returns must be made to Modern Speed Machines within 30 days of original purchase.

Backorders
In-stock parts are usually shipped immediately. Backordered parts are shipped as they become available. If all the items in your order are backordered, the parts will ship as they become available, which may result in multiple shipments for a single order.
Damage Claims
- Customers who receive a damaged part must call our Customer Service department at 1-888-MSM-PERF (676-7373) within 3 days of receiving the item to generate a damage claim and issue a Return Authorization (RA) number. Failure to notify us within 3 days may forfeit your right to a damage claim. We do not accept RA requests through email, fax, or voicemail message.
- Specialty items (such as Superchargers) that are not normally returnable or refundable under any circumstances are eligible for an exchange in the event that they are damaged upon receipt.
- Items that fail or are damaged due to customer abuse, negligence, or improper installation techniques, are not returnable under any circumstances so please take care of the parts while they are in your possession.
- The carrier will contact you to inspect and possibly retrieve the damaged part. Do not take it upon yourself to ship the item back to us or you will forfeit your right to a damage claim.
- Modern Speed Machines will pay for all freight charges incurred with damaged claim.
Warranty Claims
- Most parts are warranted by the manufacturer, usually 90 days from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified
- If a part was successfully installed, went into service, and then failed, it may be eligible for warranty replacement. You must call our Customer Service department at 1-888-MSM-PERF within 5 days of the failure and have a Customer Service Representative generate a manufacturer warranty request and issue a Return Authorization (RA) number. Parts that are covered by a manufacturer's warranty may be returned for exchange for like product replacement. Refunds are not issued on warranty items.
- Items that fail or are damaged due to customer abuse, negligence, or improper installation techniques, are not returnable under any circumstances.
- Parts used for racing or competition, are warranted against manufacturer’s defects only. They are not warranted for wear or breakage under any circumstances. A copy of the written manufacturers warranty is enclosed with the product.
- The customer is responsible for all freight charges incurred with the exchange. This includes the original freight cost to the customer.
- RA numbers for warranty items expire 15 days after they are issued. Items returned without an RA number or using an expired RA number will be refused.
- All Returns must be shipped to: Modern Speed Machines, 1522 W. 130th Street, Gardena, CA 90249 and have the RA number clearly displayed on the return shipping label. Do not write the RA number on the original product package and take care to properly prepare the package for shipment back to us.
- It is the customer's responsibility to insure the package and retrieve a tracking number with signature requirement from the carrier to protect you from loss. Damaged, lost, or missing claims must be made with the carrier.
- Only items authorized for warranty service that pass warranty inspection would be processed. Unauthorized customer warranties or warranty items that do not meet warranty criteria as stated by the manufacturer, or do not pass a warranty inspection will be denied and returned, if requested, at the customer's expense. Unclaimed denied warranty returns will be destroyed. Modern Speed Machines is only responsible for product replacement per the manufacturers warranty guidelines. No other responsibilities or warranties are expressed or implied.
- Some vendors and manufacturers do not offer any warranty on their products.
- All sales are final after 30 days.
Unauthorized Returns
Unauthorized customer returns, or returns that are miss-shipped, miss-packaged, or miss-delivered, will not be 'tracked down' and are not the responsibility of Modern Speed Machines. There are no returns on electrical items, superchargers, nitrous kits, custom and/or special order parts.

Modern Speed Machines liabilities are limited to providing the correct product based on the vehicle information supplied by the purchaser, the corresponding product information supplied by the manufacturer, and the fair representation of our advertising. Installation and safe use of the products is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Modern Speed Machines supports, yet is limited to, all manufacturers' warranties. Modern Speed Machines reserves the right to approve all cancellations and returns. Please call and speak directly to a Modern Speed Machines Sales Representative to cancel or return an order.
